Johnny Richeson is a drummer, percussionist, composer, and educator basedi n Philadelphia,PA. After spending 6 years as freelance musician in Nashville, TN, he is making band leadinghis focus in the Philly area.Johnny has been playing professionally since he was 14. As a sideman, he has performed with artists such as: Zach Top, Jason Scheff (Chicago), The Dryes (The Voice Season 22), Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones), Bob Reynolds (John Mayer, Snarky Puppy), Bob Franceschini (George Benson, Paul Simon, Chaka Khan), Crissy Collins (Beyoncé), Howard, Levy (Béla Fleck and the Flecktones), Jake Botts (Lauren Daigle, Cory Wong), and others. With a passion for weaving together improvisational freedom and infectious danceablegrooves, he draws from a wide range of influences, including: Nate Smith, Butcher Brown,D'Angelo, Charlie Hunter, Roy Hargrove, Cory Wong, Lettuce, John Mayer, and more.
